"飛龍之年 (fēilóng zhī nián)"

This piece is a reflection on artistic processes, symbolized as a dragon in the clouds, that evolves over time and medium. The original drawing was just the dragon done as pen on paper in 2012 and updated in 2024 to render the clouds in a digital painting process. Both 2012 and 2024 are coincidentally the year of the dragon, which serendipitously felt representative of the artistic process going through a full cycle to come full circle in reaching its finished state.
